DIY: Recycled bottles,a prelude to Diwali

Hi Guys,

Hope you are busy preparing for the Diwali festivities!
While cleaning my house for this Diwali, I stumbled upon some empty bottles. Wanted to reuse the bottles as I am a great fan of Recycled products. I decided to do a little make-over and this is what I did...

More the merrier

I have used 3-D glitter to dress them up. These bottles can be used in various arrangements singly or in groups.

I quite liked these two arrangements... what do you think?

These recycled bottles immediately added zing to my Diwali decoration
Do let me know how did you like them @ rubyspalette@gmail.com

Wishing you a happy and fun-filled DIWALI !!!

COLOURS GALORE; Dot Painting-Red

Hello Everyone,

This time I decided to experiment with Dot Painting. The dot paintings are integral to Australian Aboriginal Art. Each dot standing visually unique signifies its own independence. The dot painting offers an exquisite blend of traditional and contemporary ideas. The bright and vibrant dots make the painting sing and dance with joy!

This painting will immediately jazz up any dull wall.

Closer view...
I have used a canvas board and acrylic colors for this painting, the background being Red. The one in Blue is soon to follow…

Hope you guys liked it :-)

TREE OF LIFE

“Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.”
-          Pablo Picasso

One fine Saturday, when I was thinking about the subject of my next painting there was a sudden gush of wind which blew away my curtains. I got up to close the windows and came across the tree in front of my house happily swaying in the breeze. The sight was enchanting and the sound amusing.

Yes, I got the subject …   It was nothing else but, the “Tree of Life”.

The concept of the Tree of Life has been used in art and science both. The “Tree of Life” or the “Sacred Tree” has always intrigued me. This is my attempt of depicting the Tree of Life.

I was quite happy with the outcome.  Hope you guys like it.
